Hello, I’m Rachael and its lovely to meet you!

So I’m guessing you are here because something has changed. Maybe you have had some ill health. Perhaps you are finding it harder to get up off the sofa. Or you are simply looking to take charge of your health and fitness. Whatever the reason choosing a personal trainer is a an important decision so let me tell you a little about me.

As a child, I was diagnosed with eczema and asthma. I had my fair share of childhood ups and downs from skin infections to bilateral pneumonia but my wake-up call occurred at 25 when I found myself in intensive care unable to breathe.

This point marked the beginning of a complete lifestyle change. At the time I was an immunology research scientist so I used my skills to arm myself with knowledge from the latest scientific studies on nutrition and exercise for recovery from ill-health.

I became my own guinea pig and began to hone down the essence of a lifestyle that would allow my body to heal. In my late 20’s I was well enough to begin boxing and distance running and I’m still doing both these activities at 48! So I know that not only can I help you regain control of your health but, I understand what it feels like to lose that control.

Through my own experience and work in commercial gyms, I saw the need for a holistic science-based fitness solution and developed The AMB Fitness System. This system focuses on the unique requirements of you as an individual. Which is why it works!

You won’t find any “8 weeks to 6 pack abs” programmes here. My focus is on improving the health and fitness of your biological systems through reduced blood pressure, improved LDL/HDL ratios, and a reduction in cardiovascular disease risk factors.

Improving mobility is at the heart of the AMB Fitness System. If you have impaired mobility you will also have impaired strength and your risk of a simple daily activity causing injury is higher. Think of it like building a house. Mobility is the foundation of all movement. We don’t want sand for our house foundation, we want concrete!
